Tap the + button on the Wardrobe screen and choose either your camera or photo library. For best results, photograph items flat on a clean surface or hanging against a plain background.
You can add multiple items at once — the app will detect and crop each garment individually from the photo.
When you add a clothing item, the AI Stylist analyzes the photo to automatically detect the garment type, color, fit, material, and style. This data is used to power outfit suggestions, avoid wardrobe repeats, and build personalized looks.
For outfit generation, the AI reviews your entire wardrobe and combines items based on color harmony, occasion, weather, and your personal style preferences.
During onboarding you choose one or more style aesthetics — such as Minimalist, Classic, Streetwear, or Athleisure. These are sent to the AI with every outfit request to keep suggestions aligned with your personal taste. You can update them any time in Profile → Style Preferences.
The reference photo is an optional full-body photo of yourself. When added, it allows Fabra to generate a photorealistic image of you wearing a suggested outfit. You can add or remove it at any time in Profile → Settings.
This photo is stored only on your device and is sent to our AI provider solely during outfit photo generation — it is not used for any other purpose.
Yes. Tap any wardrobe item to open its detail view, then tap Edit to change the category, name, color, fit, or any other attribute. Changes take effect immediately and the updated data is used for future outfit suggestions.
When the AI detects more than one garment in a photo, it will offer individual crops for each item. You can accept or discard each crop before they're saved to your wardrobe.
For wardrobe items: open the item's detail view and tap the delete (trash) icon.
For outfits: open the outfit detail view and tap the delete option in the menu.
Deletion removes both the database entry and the associated image files from your device immediately.
The Outfit Planner lets you schedule looks for specific days. It shows a 7-day weather forecast (with your permission to access location) and can automatically suggest outfits for the week based on your calendar occasions and wardrobe history.
The Planner uses your device location to fetch a local weather forecast. Make sure Fabra has Location permission enabled:
Weather data is cached for up to 12 hours. Pull down to refresh if the forecast looks stale.
Yes. To keep the service running smoothly, Fabra has daily and monthly limits on AI-powered features such as wardrobe analysis, outfit generation, and outfit photo creation. Your current usage is visible in Profile → Settings.
Daily limits reset at 3 AM CST each day. Monthly limits reset at the start of each calendar month.
Some AI operations count toward more than one limit at the same time (for example, adding a wardrobe item uses both a daily analysis slot and a monthly analysis slot). If you're seeing a limit message earlier than expected, check your usage breakdown in Profile → Settings. If something looks wrong, contact us and we'll take a look.
All wardrobe photos, outfit data, wear history, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not sync or back up your wardrobe to any cloud service. If you delete the app, all data is removed along with it.
Yes — when you add a clothing item or request an outfit suggestion, your photos and wardrobe metadata are sent to Google Gemini and/or OpenAI for AI analysis. These are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS and are not used to train AI models. Photos are not stored by us beyond your device.
See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown of what data goes where.
You can delete individual items and outfits from within the app at any time. To remove everything, uninstall the app — this permanently deletes all locally stored wardrobe data, photos, preferences, and wear history from your device.
To request deletion of the anonymous usage counter we maintain server-side, email us at fabra.ai.support@gmail.com with your account ID (found in Profile → Settings → Account ID).
Fabra is currently free for all users. Ad personalization can be disabled at the OS level using the steps above.
